Israeli Government Policy is Anti-Semitic

It is broadly the policy of the Israeli state and its allies to respond to any form of criticism by accusing, directly or indirectly, of antisemitism, and by dint, racism.

As short-term policy, this is very effective, as it shuts down (Western) moderate debate through fear of social ostracism, leaving criticism to the seemingly less moderate, the less afraid of being ostracised, and perhaps leaving a casual observer with the image that anti-Israel criticism is the domain of idealogs and extremists and social pariahs.

As a long-term policy, however, the state of Israel is sacrificing the reputation of Jews all over the world for the ends of its own territorial ambition and fear of being held to account. As long as the state continues to behave in the callous, backwards and brutal manner that it currently does, and as long as information remains as free as the open internet has made it, anti-Israel sentiment is only going to grow.

By disingenuously using the term anti-semitism, the Israeli government dilutes the power of genuinely-intended uses of the word

This directly puts innocent Jews round the world at risk of genuine anti-semitism through weakening of the taboo. It short-termism and deliberate lack of care for the welfare of Jews in general for the sake of statist interests.
